MVP development: common questions
How much does MVP development cost in the UK?
At iHux, a fixed £7,500 for one platform and one core flow, built in 14 working days, with the senior review, the security report and 7 days of free fixes included. Introductory price for projects booked by 28 February 2027. From 1 March it’s £9,500. Published UK guides put agency MVPs higher: Rocking Tech says £8,000–£15,000 buys a prototype or a single-flow tool and £15,000–£30,000 a single-platform web MVP, and Magora says its own startup MVPs mostly land between £10,000 and £25,000. The price is lower because the scope is fixed: one platform, one core flow, agreed in writing before we start and built in 14 working days. And we price the first version to get you to market: if it works, we’d like to build what comes next with you, with no commitment beyond the MVP.
Is VAT added to the price?
We don’t charge UK VAT: £7,500 is the full amount on our invoice, fixed in writing before we start. If your business is VAT-registered, HMRC’s reverse charge applies to services bought from outside the UK; for most businesses it nets to zero.
Who do I contract with?
With iHux, directly. The scope and the £7,500 price are agreed in writing before we start.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
14 working days from kick-off to delivery: design directions on day 1, designs approved on day 3, a progress call on day 7, the senior review and security report on day 11, and delivery on day 14.
What’s included in the MVP?
One platform and one core flow, designed with you and built in 14 working days; a senior engineer’s review of every line with a security report; the code, yours from the first commit; and 7 days of free fixes after delivery. A second platform, extra flows and ongoing feature work are not included.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the first commit.
What if I’m slow to give feedback?
The clock pauses while we wait on you, so the days you spend deciding never come out of your 14 working days, and the price stays the same.
What happens after the 14 days?
You get 7 days of free fixes after delivery. If you want to build the full product or need ongoing maintenance, we scope and quote it after the MVP, with the same team.
